Fun Meme :)
My mom and I just moved (it's a long, long, long story that I hope to post about in the not-too-distant future) but first, I wanted to answer a meme I saw on metallidean_grl's LJ a while back. :)

Fired a gun? I never have, but I wouldn't mind trying someday. I've always wanted to try archery too, even before the movies made it popular again.

Been married? No, though I would love to be someday.

Fallen in love? No, I never have.

Gone on a blind date? No.

Skipped school? No. I have health problems and missed too much school being sick as it was.

Watches someone give birth? No, never.

Watched someone die? No.

Been to Canada? No. I've never been outside of the U.S., actually.

Ridden in an ambulance? Yes, twice, though I don't remember either trip. I was too little the first time and unconscious the second time.

Been to Hawaii? No. I would love to travel there, though.

Been to Europe? Nope, but that's also on my "I hope to do that someday," list.

Been to Las Vegas? No.

Been to Washington D.C.? No.

Been to Nashville? No.

Visited Florida? No, though I have a Great Uncle who lives there.

Visited Mexico? No.

Seen the Grand Canyon in person? No...I haven't had the chance to do much traveling.

Flown in a helicopter? No, only planes.

Partied so hard you puked? No. I'm not into that kind of partying.

Been on a cruise? No.

Served on a jury? No. The last time I was summoned I was released pretty quickly. (It was a drunk driving case, and my dad was hit by a drunk driver when he was a boy, and he almost didn't survive - I don't think they believed that I could be sufficiently neutral.)

Been in a move? Depends on what you mean by move. My mom and I just moved to a new house.

Danced in the rain? Not so much dancing, but I remember playing in it when I was little.

Been to Los Angeles? No.

Been to New York City? No.

Played in a band/orchestra? Yes, I played the clarinet in band from fifth grade to ninth grade.

Sung Karaoke? No. Singing in public is not something I enjoy. I don't think I have a bad voice...something about singing in public just leaves me shaking in my boots.

Made prank phone calls? No.

Laughed so much you cried? I love to laugh, but I don't generally cry, even when I'm laughing very hard.

Caught a snowflake on your tongue? I don't think so. I used to love to look at them on my gloves though.

Had children? No, though I'd love to someday.

Had a pet? Yes. A gold fish and a hamster.

Been sledding on a big hill? Not down a big hill. In the neighborhood where I grew up, the only hill nearby was at the church on the corner. We went sledding there. The ride lasted maybe three seconds, tops. It was still fun, though.

Been downhill skiing? No.

Been water skiing? No, I can't swim, so anything besides wading is pretty much out for me.

Ridden on a motorcycle? No, I just have a bicycle.

Traveled to all 50 states? No.

Jumped out of a plane? No, and I don't plan to.

Been to a drive-in movie? No. There aren't any drive-in movie theaters nearby, unfortunately.

Ridden an elephant? No.

Ridden a Horse? Yes. I was in art club in high school, and at the end of the year, our sponsor took us trail riding.

Been on TV? A couple times if you count news blurbs and parades.

Been in the newspaper? Yes, for some school functions.

Stayed in the hospital? Yes, a couple times. One of those was for a month, though I was in a medically induced coma for three weeks of that, so I only really remember the last week.

Donated blood? No. I can't really, because of the medications I'm on. But, I've had transfusions before (both times I was in the hospital, actually) so I'm incredibly grateful to the people who can and do donate.

Gotten a piercing? Nope, not even my ears.

Gotten a tattoo? No, and don't plan to.

Driven a stick shift vehicle? No. I don't drive at all, in fact.

Driven over 100 mph? No.

Been scuba diving? No.

Lived on your own? No. I live with my mom, who needs some help around the house because of her own health problems.

Ridden in the back of a police car? No, but I sat in the back of a police car once, when they came to do a presentation at my elementary school.

Broken a bone? Yes. A couple toes, and my right wrist. I don't recommend it.

Gotten stitches? Yes, when I had surgery.

Traveled Alone? Not really.

Gone backpacking? Does walking to school as a kid count? I had a backpack then. A heavy one, too.

Owned more shoes than I could ever wear? No. I'm not really a "shoe" girl, and I don't have many shoes. Some I don't wear often, but I can wear all of them.

Been to Russia? No. I have a friend who is originally from Russia, though.

Seen four countries at the same moment? No.

Driven across Death Valley? No.

Actually seen the cows come home? No.

Visited San Fracisco/Crossed the Golden Gate bridge/Explored the Marin Headlands? No to all three.

And there you have it. Feel free to answer the meme yourself, if you're so inclined. :)

Thank you so much for the well-wishes! They are appreciated and very much needed. :)

The move was incredibly crazy, and may still not be over yet - what we thought were water stains in the bathroom has turned out to be mold, and so we have to contact the landlord about that now. We're hoping the house won't need extensive work because of it.

I hope you are now all moved and settled.

So, we both played clarinet when we were younger. Cool. I hope you are able to get around and see some places in your future. And the fact you don't drive, I couldn't get around at all without being able to drive.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this! Even after the move, things are still nutty. Thank you for the well wishes!

I thought that was cool too, when I saw your answers to the meme. :) Thanks, me too! So far the only traveling I've really done has been to Wisconsin to visit family (both of my parents are from there). It helps living in a small town. Most things are close enough that they're not too hard to bike to. I'd like to get a car someday, though I don't have the money for it right now.
