Hi, everyone!

I am a lifelong crafter, and I decided to open a shop on Etsy as a way to bring in a little more income and help pay down my student loans.

My shop is called Crafting Heart to Heart. I specialize in making woven heart ornaments, like the one below:

They come in many different colors, and I'm more than happy to take custom orders with specific colors. (Please see my shop for details. :) ) They're perfect gifts for any occasion or holiday, and don't forget to treat yourself too!

Every ornament takes 2 to 3 days to make. Each heart measures approx. 3 and 1/2 inches across at the widest point of the heart, and 2 and 3/4 inches from the bottom tip of the heart to its highest point. They are is 1 and 1/8 inches thick.

I hope that you'll check out my work!

If you want to know more, please feel free to post a comment below, or contact me through Etsy.

Take care and God bless!

Hey, everyone. :)

I have been working more on my Etsy shop, Crafting Hear to Heart, and if anyone is interested, I'm having an after Christmas sale - $4.00 off on everything when you use the code ACS2016 during checkout. The sale will last until January 10th. :)

I've also been working on creating a wider variety of ornaments, making them out of different materials, like yarn. I'm really excited about the new designs. The yarn hearts I've nickname "sweater hearts," because they really do wind up looking like they're wearing sweaters, lol. :)

Here’s how one of those hearts turned out:

I'm planning to use some faux suede as well, and I've begun making hearts out of felt with various designs on the front. I'm also playing with the idea of doing something fandom-inspired, though I'd certainly be careful not to violate any copy rights. Some fandoms would be harder that others, but it might be a fun thing to make. :D

If you're interested in something specific, please let me know, because I take custom orders. Just message me here or on Etsy, and we can talk about what you want. There’s no extra charge, unless I have to buy new materials, and you can still use the discount I mentioned above.

Hopefully that didn’t sound too much like an infomercial. One of these days, I will post a regular journal entry. Really I will, lol.

Take care and God bless, and I hope you had a very merry Christmas!

A/N: I've been absolutely lazy and haven't posted a fic on LJ for ages, though I've written quite a bit. (My Avengers multi-chapter "Twenty Pieces of Silver," is now 24 chapters, rather than the two chapters I have posted here... *looks sheepish*). But, I just wrote a birthday fic for spyforaday, so of course the fic had to be posted here too. Her prompt was "how about something featuring music." :)

I hope that you have a wonderful birthday, spyforaday! May it be filled with all the things you enjoy!

As always, I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for his incredible mercy and grace, and his many blessings.

I hope you enjoy this, and please let me know what you think!

Occasionally, I surf around Youtube looking for interesting videos, and often I find myself watching some of those “list” videos because they usually have some fun/quirky facts to learn and cool pictures to see. I was watching a video about various places on earth that you won’t believe exist, and saw a picture of a Zhangye Danxia National Park, which is located in the Gansu province in China. As soon as I saw that picture, I knew I had to find more. It’s simply amazing. It looks like someone went wild with Photoshop, but the photos aren’t manipulated. (Note: These photos are from a few difference sources I found around Google. I'm only borrowing them to admire. :) )

The pictures were too gorgeous not to share. :) God’s handiwork is incredible.

My mom and I just moved (it's a long, long, long story that I hope to post about in the not-too-distant future) but first, I wanted to answer a meme I saw on metallidean_grl's LJ a while back. :)

Hey, everyone!

It's been ages since I actually posted something here on my LJ, not counting my entry about my Etsy shop, but I couldn't resist mentioning this here. :)

I had never heard of the Fanatic Fanfics Multifandom Awards before, but a week or so ago, I got a PM telling me that my old Star Wars story, "Slipping Into Darkness," had been nominated in their "All-Time Favorite Star Wars Fanfic" category.

I wrote "Slipping Into Darkness" over ten years ago, when I was 17. It was that story which really helped spark a love of writing in me, and clichéd as it may sound, it's always had a special place in my heart since then.

I don't know if it will win - I know it's up against very tough competition - but just the nomination means a lot. :D

If you'd like to check out my story, "Slipping Into Darkness," you can do that here.

Summary: Anakin has the opportunity to change the future. But, can he can resist the temptation of the Dark Side and overcome his own weaknesses, or has he already fallen too far? Ep. III AU.

(Note: I go by Ani-maniac494 on FF.N, just in case anyone is wondering why the screen name is different. :) )

If you'd like to vote in the contest, you can do so here. Voting runs from April 11, 2016, to May 2, 2016.

Thanks so much!

I posted this on christianfanfic, but I had a feeling that I should post it here as well.

Two Sudanese pastors have been officially charged with crimes punishable by death, though no evidence of their "crimes" has been presented at their trial. They are being held in terrible conditions, and being denied access to their attorney. Their real crime? They are Christians.

Their trial will resume in days, and the ACLJ is starting a massive letter-writing campaign to the new Sudanese Minister of Justice.

They need all the signatures they can get. If you'd like to sign the letter, you can do so here.

It takes only a minute. Please also keep them and the ACLJ in prayer.

The river near where I live is at record levels, and I went down to see it today with my dad and little sister. I took some video while I was there. It's not as bad as other parts of the country which have suffered flooding, but it's still a little nerve-wracking, considering that more rain is in the forecast. And, the river walk is already inundated. Parts of the trail (which you can see in the second video) are underwater.

Heaven is real. God loves you.

Are those statements true? Yes, most definitely! But, they do not represent the full truth, and if those are the only two truths you embrace, then you may be headed down a very dangerous path. That is why I was incredibly disappointed by the movie, “Heaven is for Real.”

Let me back up a bit.

I read the book, “Heaven is for Real,” a few years ago, and I loved it. It was in-line with scripture, and it was wonderfully inspiring and left me encouraged and uplifted. The real-life account is amazing, and I was thrilled to learn that there would be a movie. But, just a few days ago, I bought the movie and came away feeling incredibly let down, because not only does the movie not match the account in the book in some critical ways, more importantly, it’s not in-line with the Gospel.
